9th & 9th
Living in 9th and 9th
The 9th and 9th community is sought after, and for good reason. Speckled with historic homes and buildings, Bungalows and Victorians, you’ll also find recently renovated and high quality flipped homes. An excellent walking district with a unique collection of shops, businesses and services. Most of which are locally owned. From the neighborhood Hip & Humble to the Tower Theatre and some of Salt Lake City’s best cafes, exercise and shops, the owners are often your neighbors.
A Local Community. 9th & 9th supports the community through local business. The Coffee Garden has been a mainstay meeting place for years with locally roasted Café Ibis coffee, delicious pastries, sandwiches, and (excellent) quiche. During Sundance the Coffee Garden’s warm beverages come in handy while waiting in line for shows at the Tower Theater.
Local Dining just a walk away. If you need more than just coffee, there are several options, none of which are shabby. Pago is highly rated and serve up delicious Italian fare and brunch on the weekend. The best place for Middle Eastern food is quite arguably Mazza, the winner of multiple local dining awards. The new East Liberty Tap House isn’t your typical pub, with an airy and open feeling, and modern, inviting vibe.
Exercise? Pilates, Yoga, Extend Bar & Dance! Looking for exercise beyond walking 25 feet from the movie theater to the Coffee Garden? Pilates on 9th provides Stott Pilates alongside Barr and cardio circuit training classes. Centered City Yoga offers classes for beginners (Mom Baby class) and more experienced yogis with classes for Anusarra and Kundalini. Both are great facilities for classes and individual training. You’re sure to get a head nod and a smile from others on their way to a yoga class, fellow bikers, and dog walkers. Go ahead and join a class - this community embraces camaraderie and friendship.
In celebration of Local Business, fun and easy-going entertainment, be sure to stop by the events throughout the year, from Halloween Trick-or-Treating to the Street Festival in the summer, 9th and 9th has an awesome community spirit!
