Welcome to West Jordan

The real estate market here is always bustling, with prices ranging from very affordable to higher-end “move-up” homes so many people look for when they’ve sold their first or second home. It’s great place find a resale home, a newer home, a fixer-upper or a good quality flip style home. The yards are usually a good size, with privacy on nice streets.

Nearly 2 million square feet of entertainment space for you and yours – boasting Bombay House, one of Utah’s best Indian food restaurants and soon to host Café’ Rio (who’s roots are in Utah).

A City Shaped by Rivers and Hills
The city boundaries begin on the Jordan River’s western bank and end in the eastern foothills of the Oquirrh Mountains. With businesses big and small, employment opportunities are good here, and the community hosts the Jordan Valley Medical Center and future Cancer Center and the soon-to-be main campus of Salt Lake Community College.
Close to downtown Salt Lake, freeway access, skiing, mountains, biking and hiking, West Jordan is perfectly situated to be anywhere you want go pretty quickly.
Gardner Village, a unique and special place in West Jordan, celebrates the early Utah pioneer mill industry and history in a lovely way. With specialty shops housed in cabins, houses and buildings, it’s a charming place to spend a day. Adorned with antique fixtures, a red brick path, and a bridge over a small pond. The central building, once a flour mill, is now the popular Archibald’s Restaurant. Summer through October, stop by the Saturday Farmer’s Market.
Trails, Rail, Bikes, Dogs and Treats.
Historic downtown is being renovated to include retail and office space, a trail linking to Gardner Village and the Jordan River Trail, and a cultural pavilion that houses the new light rail station.
The new library, and amazing new park is a lovely destination. A chic library, it features floor to ceiling viewing windows where you can see exactly how books are sorted! Across the lot is the new playground and fantastic fortress with several levels of (short) slides, swings and a small climbing wall
Why not grab a drink at High Point Coffee and take the pups and take them to the West Jordan, Off-Leash Dog Park.? A fully enclosed park separated into three areas: 1 for small dogs and 2 for larger dogs.
Visible from space, Kennecott Copper Mine is the world’s largest man-made excavation, located in the foothills of Oquirrh Mountains. While the visitor’s center is closed and being rebuilt, take a virtual tour online to hear a few talking points that help educate kids (and maybe parents) on minerals and mining.
The Annual Western Stampede Rodeo is a local custom to celebrate Independence Day, with a flag ceremony, parade, movie, and fireworks.
West Jordan is a great place to live, work and play!
